Tiny Wings vs. Angry Birds

Tiny Wings vs. Angry Birds Another Great Debate?
By Staff Writer Evan Brown

What is The Shire always full of? Birds…duhhh

And iPods so we need to decide what app is better. The iPod App Team has a newcomer called Tiny Wings, while he is a young new recruit, his skills are already shining through. There is some tension within iPod App Team between the newcomer and the last year’s MVA (Most Valuable App) Angry Birds.

Angry Birds quoted 4 days ago saying, “Well personally I believe that [Tiny Wings] has a lot of growing up to do and while he does have the skills be a star, he doesn’t have the mental capacity to be a iPod App Team leader.” This rather harsh statement from Angry Birds sparked quite the response from Tiny wings.

Tiny Wings tweeted this two days later—“F**k Angry Birds. He is just an old grumpy man who isn’t comfortable with a new upcoming stud like me breathing down his neck. #toosicktocare #tiredofoldpeople #whohellisangrybirds #goaheadandretirebrettfarve.” This retaliation is sure to ignite even more tension between the two teammates. The future of iPod App Team is shaky at best.

The root of this debate is the stark success of Tiny Wings. In one week, he shot to the Number 1 Spot on Apple’s Top App List. February 18, 2011 it was announced and soon after Angry Birds retaliated by getting some new clothes and moving to Rio. His new version Angry Birds Rio was released a few weeks later.

This slick move by Angry Birds’ agent Rovio Mobile Ltd. shot Angry Birds back up to the top with style. The newly modified Angry Birds Rio said in an interview, “Recent events have just proven who is boss and that is me. [Tiny Wings] needs to accept defeat and realize that he gets boring way too fast.”

As of this morning Angry Birds is still above Tiny Wings; however, a newbie nautical bird-game named Air Penguin joined the team and slipped into the prized Number 1 position during Angry Bird and Tiny Wing’s feud. They were both simultaneously quoted as saying, “I don’t even have to worry [Air Penguin]; he’s got nothing on me. Give it a week he’ll be gone.”

Will the veterans be forced to retire cold turkey? We shall see in coming weeks.
